He’s best known for his role as the hunky gardener having a cheeky bit of fun with Eva Longoria in Desperate Housewives but Jesse Metcalfe joins us to talk about his new role as a butt-kicking US Marshall in Sky Living’s The Chase.

Jesse is also set to feature in a remake of legendary soap Dallas which is to return next summer, 20 years after the last series ended. Jesse is playing Christopher Ewing, son of Bobby Ewing, played by Patrick Duffy.

Jesse also talks about his rather unusual passions – he is a massive fan of art and is a proud owner of an Andy Warhol. He also enjoys pilates and yoga!

Brenda Strong: Jesse Metcalfe’s Acting Is “incredibly detailed and rich” in Dallas

Brenda Strong, while attending ABC’s Television Critics Association bash at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday night, commented on Jesse’s performance in the Pilot for his upcoming TNT show “Dallas.”

“He’s my new son-in-law and I have to say, Jesse really showed up for the pilot,” she told Access Hollywood. “His acting has gotten so incredibly detailed and rich and I think people are gonna be surprised about how good he is in this.”

South Fork, Texas, the central location for “Dallas,” is a departure for Jesse, who spent Season 1 of “DH” as Gabrielle Solis’ sexy gardener-turned-lover and it’s also a big change for Brenda who played the heard, but not often seen, late Mary Alice Young in “DH.”

Dallas is set to continue filming in the Dallas area in October, and air on TNT in the summer of 2012.

Patrick Duffy on ‘Dallas’ Reboot: ‘As Good or Better Than the Original’

In a recent interview with Parade, Patrick Duffy, star of the original Dallas series and of the new 2012 reboot, discussed the show, his career, and his new young costars:

On the new kids on the ranch.
“The dynamic is perfect. I think we have the best young crop of actors playing these parts with Jesse Metcalfe, Josh Henderson, Jordana Brewster, and Julie Gonzalo. I didn’t know any of these people prior to coming on the set and they’re such good actors. It’s just a perfect marriage with the old Dallas. I couldn’t be happier and I just hope that they have the same kind of experience as we did thirty years ago when we started.”
