The Hollywood Crush blog on MTV.com has an exclusive clip of Jesse’s upcoming film “Beyond A Reasonable Doubt” featuring Amber Tamblyn. Check it out above or click here.
More than half a century later, the 1956 film noir classic “Beyond A Reasonable Doubt” has been remade and is coming to the big screen next month. MTV has the first exclusive clip to be released of this new crime thriller that analyzes the ineptitudes of the court systems. This clip takes a look at the beginning of a relationship between a hungry young reporter (Jesse Metcalfe, who most of you will remember as the hunky gardener from “Desperate Housewives”) and the Assistant DA (Amber Tamblyn) to the District Attorney he is investigating (Michael Douglas).
The chemistry between Jesse and Amber almost makes us forget it is a crime thriller we’re watching. In this exclusive look, the first date is arranged between the twosome that sets the stage for the drama in the rest of the film. For those familiar with the 1956 classic, the romance has been altered from Amber’s character (played originally by Joan Fontaine) being the Assistant DA versus the daughter of the reporter’s (played originally by Dana Andrews) publisher. Hopefully in this remake their relationship won’t end with such disastrous results. Check out the first exclusive look at “Beyond A Reasonable Doubt” by pressing play above.
