I said in the previous update that I would post any videos I found from the NBC Upfront Presentation. Here’s one from his interview with Zap2It, where Jesse discusses his new show Chase.
This is a VERY short interview for Television Without Pity, taken at the NBC Upfronts. Jesse discusses his new show. Haven’t seen any videos for this. I’ll post it if I find it!
Jesse Metcalfe: Every episode we’re going to be chasing a different bad guy. Sometimes we get ‘em, sometimes we don’t, but it’s a lot of action, great writing and great characters, and also a bit of a humor to it as well. It’s basically a gritty, authentic look at the lives of U.S. Marshalls.
I assume your character is a good guy?
Metcalfe: Yes, I play Luke Watson, I’m the new guy, the kind of wet-behind-the-ears new member of the task force. I don’t have a lot of field experience, so I’m not really accepted at first, and have to work a little harder. Is it safe to say that you’re done with Desperate Housewives for good?
Metcalfe: I think most likely I’m done with the show. You know, it’s a change of networks, a total different turn for me. This is a completely different character than what I played on Desperate Housewives, and a completely different show. This is a gritty, hard-nosed drama, and Desperate Housewives is a primetime soap. This is definitely a new, more mature turn for me, and I’m excited about the opportunity.

9-10 p.m. — “THE EVENT”

You’ll be able to catch Jesse on his show Mondays at 10pm! Check out a sneak peek of the show below. I’m excited for this one!
Just added 2 stills from Jesse’s upcoming show Chase. Congrats to Jesse on the pilot getting picked up by NBC! Elodie also added some pictures of Jesse at the K Swiss and Kitson launch party on April 29th.
At NBC, the pickups just keep on coming.
The network just gave a greenlight to Jerry Bruckheimer’s action-procedural “Chase.”
“Chase’ has all the undeniable elements of a thrill ride that you would expect from a Jerry Bruckheimer action series,” said Angela Bromstad, president of primetime entertainment, Universal Media Studios. “Equally important, it also features a great cast. Kelli Giddish is a breakout star as the lead.”
“Chase” joins previously announced NBC pickups, dramas “Undercovers” and “The Event,” and comedies “Love Bites” and “Outsourced.”
“Chase” is described by the network as “a fast-paced drama that drops viewers smack into the middle of a game of cat-and-mouse as a team of U.S. marshals hunts down America’s most dangerous fugitives.” Giddish (“Past Life”) stars as U.S. Marshal Annie Frost, “a cowboy boot-wearing deputy whose sharp mind and unique Texas upbringing help her track down the violent criminals on the run.”
Cole Hauser (“K-Ville”), Amaury Nolasco (“Prison Break”), Rose Rollins (“The L Word”) and Jesse Metcalfe (“Desperate Housewives”) also star as members of Frost’s team.
The pilot is directed by David Nutter, who’s shot the pilots for a slew of TV series, from “Supernatural” to “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” to “The Mentalist.”
“Chase” is produced by Bonanza Productions, in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television and Warner Bros. TV.

Seems not so long ago that then-Dallas Mayor Laura Miller and Dallas Film Commission director Janis Burklund were staging a press conference in the Dallas City Hall Flag Room begging the producers of the (ill-fated) big-screen Dallas to “Shoot JR Here.” They brought with them T-shirts and bumper stickers, and despite the gimmicks they were serious and not a little desperate to re-energize local film and TV production, which had grown fallow in the absence of state tax incentives that could lure cameras and crews to Dallas.
Some four years later, Burklund cannot recall Dallas ever having been this loaded with productions. Of course, FOX’s Code 58 is here till at least July, and, as we mentioned two weeks ago, Jerry Bruckheimer is set to shoot an NBC pilot, Chase, in March. So far, only Desperate Housewives’ Jesse Metcalfe has been cast as a U.S. Marshal on the lookout for fugitives in the American Southwest.
Jesse Metcalfe has landed a role in NBC’s drama pilot Chase, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The Jerry Bruckheimer-produced project centres on a high-priority fugitive apprehension team in South Texas. Former Desperate Housewives star Metcalfe has apparently been tapped to play a preppy Marshal from D.C.
