The Dallas actor shares details about the “emotional day” spent filming Monday night’s farewell to J.R.
Yahoo! Finance – TORRANCE, Calif., March 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — The red carpet and race cars are ready as Toyota announced today the participants from film, television, music, sports and the military who will compete for checkered flag glory in the 2013 Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race. The 37th annual charity race will take place April 20 on the 1.97-mile street course in downtown Long Beach, Calif., as part of the 39th Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.
The field of racers will navigate the new 210-horsepower Scion FR-S race vehicles through high speed turns to benefit “Racing for Kids,” a national fundraising program supporting children’s hospitals throughout the United States. This year’s field of popular celebrity racers includes:
Jesse Metcalfe (@JesseMetcalfe): Actor best known for his role as a teen gardener on “Desperate Housewives” and who currently stars in the TNT continuation of “Dallas,” based on the 1978 series of the same name. Film credits include “John Tucker Must Die” and “Beyond a Reasonable Doubt.”
Soap star Jesse Metcalfe, 34, is arguably best-known for playing Eva Longoria’s hunky pool boy on “Desperate Housewives,” which is what makes his recent home purchase a little bit of a downer.
He and fiancee Cara Santana became the proud owners of a 2,362-square-foot Spanish-style home with five bedrooms — but alas, no pool.
The property had been listed at about $1.6 million andTrulia put the sales price of the couple’s new home at $1.43 million. The home transferred title on Feb. 28 and Metcalfe sold his Beverly Hills Post Office area home for $2 million, Trulia reports.
The 1925 home he and Santana will share was built in 1925 and retains some of its original charm. Best of Show may be the Spanish courtyard with tiled wall fountain. Check out the photos!
Metcalfe now plays Christopher Ewing in the TNT continuation of “Dallas.”
Did you enjoy the premiere of Dallas this week? I know I did! It was great seeing Jesse back on my TV!
I received a fan email this week—addressed to Jesse. Let me just take a moment to remind everyone that, unfortunately, I’m not Jesse and I can’t deliver fan mail to him because I’m not officially affiliated with him. If you’d like to talk to him directly, your best chance is through Twitter, @jessemetcalfe.
Anyway, the fan mail I received is below.
Subject: 50 Shades of Grey cast
Can you PLEASE play the role of Christian Grey for the 50 Shades of Grey movie. You would be so perfect for that role.
I don’t know if any of you have read 50 Shades of Grey – I am not ashamed to admit that I have, and that I agree with Ashley! I think Jesse would be perfect to play Christian Grey in the (possible) upcoming movie adaptation. There are no rumors or news about him having anything to do with this project, and I’m sure he wouldn’t be interested, but I thought it would be fun to discuss. So, I decided to post this just to take a poll to see what you all thought. Do you think he would make a good Christian Grey? Vote and leave your comments below! Check out my other pics for Christian Grey on IMDB.
