‘Desperate Housewives’ star Jesse Metcalfe discussed his struggles with alcohol on ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ (weekdays, syndicated), admitting that dealing with his addiction has been an ongoing battle.
“When I realized it was a real problem, when I realized I had an addiction, I faced it. I checked myself into a rehab,” Metcalfe said to audience applause. “It was three-and-a-half years ago … I can’t tell you that I’ve been sober for the last three-and-a-half years, but I can tell you that I’m without a doubt sober now. That’s what’s most important.”
I just thought this was really cute. It’s just a short video of Jesse endorsing Stop Puppy Mills, for The Humane Society of the United States. Also I am currently out of town, but I will have more updates next week!
Here is the trailer for Jesse’s upcoming TV show Chase. 🙂 It’ll air Monday nights at 10, this Fall on NBC. Click here to watch on Hulu if you can’t see it below.
I said in the previous update that I would post any videos I found from the NBC Upfront Presentation. Here’s one from his interview with Zap2It, where Jesse discusses his new show Chase.

Here’s an Access Hollywood video of Jesse with Cara Santana at the Sandals Emerald Bay Golf Tournament last weekend.
I put a bunch of older pictures from 2009 in the gallery, plus some captures from Jesse’s appearance on MTV/CMT Cribs and HQ’s from a Photocall, i’m not sure what film or show it was from.
The Hollywood Crush blog on MTV.com has an exclusive clip of Jesse’s upcoming film “Beyond A Reasonable Doubt” featuring Amber Tamblyn. Check it out above or click here.
More than half a century later, the 1956 film noir classic “Beyond A Reasonable Doubt” has been remade and is coming to the big screen next month. MTV has the first exclusive clip to be released of this new crime thriller that analyzes the ineptitudes of the court systems. This clip takes a look at the beginning of a relationship between a hungry young reporter (Jesse Metcalfe, who most of you will remember as the hunky gardener from “Desperate Housewives”) and the Assistant DA (Amber Tamblyn) to the District Attorney he is investigating (Michael Douglas).
The chemistry between Jesse and Amber almost makes us forget it is a crime thriller we’re watching. In this exclusive look, the first date is arranged between the twosome that sets the stage for the drama in the rest of the film. For those familiar with the 1956 classic, the romance has been altered from Amber’s character (played originally by Joan Fontaine) being the Assistant DA versus the daughter of the reporter’s (played originally by Dana Andrews) publisher. Hopefully in this remake their relationship won’t end with such disastrous results. Check out the first exclusive look at “Beyond A Reasonable Doubt” by pressing play above.
What do you think of the exclusive clip? Do you think Amber and Jesse’s chemistry bodes well or poorly for their relationship? Are you excited for this remake? Source: MTV.com
