Jesse Metcalfe Buys House In Hollywood Hills For $1.43 Million

Huffington Post

Soap star Jesse Metcalfe, 34, is arguably best-known for playing Eva Longoria’s hunky pool boy on “Desperate Housewives,” which is what makes his recent home purchase a little bit of a downer.

He and fiancee Cara Santana became the proud owners of a 2,362-square-foot Spanish-style home with five bedrooms — but alas, no pool.

The property had been listed at about $1.6 million andTrulia put the sales price of the couple’s new home at $1.43 million. The home transferred title on Feb. 28 and Metcalfe sold his Beverly Hills Post Office area home for $2 million, Trulia reports.

The 1925 home he and Santana will share was built in 1925 and retains some of its original charm. Best of Show may be the Spanish courtyard with tiled wall fountain. Check out the photos!

Metcalfe now plays Christopher Ewing in the TNT continuation of “Dallas.”

Fan Poll: Jesse Metcalfe as Christian Grey in 50 Shades of Grey movie?

Jesse-Metcalfe-50-Shades-of-Grey

Did you enjoy the premiere of Dallas this week? I know I did! It was great seeing Jesse back on my TV!

I received a fan email this week—addressed to Jesse. Let me just take a moment to remind everyone that, unfortunately, I’m not Jesse and I can’t deliver fan mail to him because I’m not officially affiliated with him. If you’d like to talk to him directly, your best chance is through Twitter, @jessemetcalfe.

Anyway, the fan mail I received is below.

From: Ashley
Subject: 50 Shades of Grey cast

Message:
Can you PLEASE play the role of Christian Grey for the 50 Shades of Grey movie. You would be so perfect for that role.

I don’t know if any of you have read 50 Shades of Grey – I am not ashamed to admit that I have, and that I agree with Ashley! I think Jesse would be perfect to play Christian Grey in the (possible) upcoming movie adaptation. There are no rumors or news about him having anything to do with this project, and I’m sure he wouldn’t be interested, but I thought it would be fun to discuss. So, I decided to post this just to take a poll to see what you all thought. Do you think he would make a good Christian Grey? Vote and leave your comments below! Check out my other pics for Christian Grey on IMDB.

Dallas Interview With Jesse Metcalfe on Female First UK

Jesse MetcalfeDallas returned to our screens this year after a rather lengthy absence and now the Texas based power struggles come home to roost, with series one hitting DVD this week.

To celebrate JR and the gang coming home, two of the show’s stars (the gorgeous duo of Jesse Metcalfe and Josh Henderson) talked about their roles on Dallas and what it’s been like being a part of such a hit.

Was it daunting joining such an iconic show as Dallas?

“Every great project starts with a great script. Once I wrapped my mind around the idea and read the script and saw the characters were fleshed out it looked like a contemporary show, while keeping it true to the series.”

Were you a fan of Dallas when you were younger?

I had to go back and watch some episodes – I watched about 33 – I wanted to set the tone and see my co workers in their younger years. There was a little Christopher, but you have no idea of who the man will be.

Battle Of The Dallas Heartthrobs – Jesse Metcalfe Or Josh Henderson?

Battle Of The Dallas Heartthrobs – Jesse Metcalfe Or Josh Henderson?

Huffington Post UK – ‘Dallas’ has returned to our screens, and it’s like it’s never been away. Bobby and JR Ewing are both still proving that some things do run thicker than blood – ie oil, and the money it brings. And their sibling rivalry has been passed seamlessly to the next generation with their sons – Christopher and John Ross respectively – fighting for the future of Southfork Ranch, not to mention the love they share for one girl (Series One of the new series out on DVD on Monday).

Jesse Metcalfe and Josh Henderson were plucked from other dramas to pick up their stetsons and play Christopher and John Ross. Metcalfe swotted up watching 33 episodes from the first series, while Henderson caught up with old JR clips on YouTube “to discover how he made him so magnetic”. And the pair were used to competing against each other for auditions (as well as in a charity league away from work), so their rivalry came naturally.

But who gets your vote? Josh Henderson’s a Texan native, so that must get points, but Metcalfe‘s Christopher is striving for renewable energy, so that must put him on the side of the angels. And he’s got his demons, secretly pining for a woman who’s not his wife, not something Bobby would approve of.

Jesse Metcalfe brings new blood to ‘Dallas’

Jesse Metcalfe

It’s been 20 years since Texas-style lust, greed and cliffhangers had TV fans tuning in to the prime-time soap opera “Dallas.”

Now the juicy 1980s series returns in the Bravo update “Dallas,” a show headlined by such iconic “Ewings” as J. R. (Larry Hagman), Bobby (Patrick Duffy) and Sue Ellen (Linda Gray). These original characters have been brought back by the show’s producers.

Bravo’s 2012 revamp also features a new generation of Ewings to carry on the family tradition of plotting, scheming and down-and-dirty rivalry.

“We’re pretty sure the show is going to be a success. Maybe it’ll be another television phenomenon,” said new “Dallas” addition Jesse Metcalfe on Monday on CTV’s Canada AM.

The series debuted on July 13, pulling in an estimated six million viewers in the United States and 1.9 million viewers in Canada.

Even so, this new incarnation of “Dallas” has a long way to go to duplicate the success of its predecessor, which was included in Time magazine’s 2007 list of the “100 Best TV Shows of All-Time.”

In this new update, 33-year-old Metcalfe plays Christopher Ewing, the adopted son of Bobby and Pam Ewing.

TNT’s ‘Dallas’ Premiere Scores Just South (Fork) of 7 Million Viewers

Dallas cast

Nearly a year after baiting audiences with its first promo, TNT finally unveiled the new incarnation of iconic CBS primetime soap Dallas on Wednesday night.

The first outing drew 6.9 million viewers, making it the most-watched cable series premiere of the year, following in the footsteps of the network’s recent summer debuts of Falling Skies in 2011 and Rizzoli & Isles in 2010.

Dallas made TNT the top-scoring basic cable network of the night, with the two-hour premiere even besting broadcast networks between 9 and 11 p.m. The two-hour premiere also drew 1.9 million adults 18-49 and 2.5 million in TNT’s favorable adults 25-54 demo.

The haul outpaced TNT’s current summer heavyweight, Rizzoli & Isles, by more than 1 million viewers. It also topped last summer’s Falling Skies debut (5.9 million) by nearly the same number.
For some historical context, it should be noted that this score marks a nearly 80 percent drop since the last episode of Dallas. The 1991 series finale of the original show, which aired for 13 season on a vastly different TV landscape, took in 33.3 million viewers.

And those numbers were nothing foreign to the series. The 1980 “Who Shot J.R.?” episode still stands as the second-highest-rated entertainment broadcast in U.S. history with 41.5 million viewers. The 1983 series finale of CBS’ M*A*S*H is the all-time leader with 50.2 million.

John Tucker Must Find a Buyer – Jesse Metcalfe Relists $2.2M Home

Former Desperate Housewives heartthrob and John Tucker Must Die star Jesse Metcalfe has relisted his 3-bedroom, 3-bath Beverly Hills home for $2.2M according to Curbed LA. Los Angeles Times first reported his home hitting the market back in February 2011, but it had fallen off the radar until now. Seems as if Jesse wasn’t that “desperate” to sell after all.

Now Jesse’s back and looking to grace a new lucky neighborhood with his shirtless front yard gardening. According to the Real Estalker, Mr. Metcalfe is selling his Beverly Hills home for the same $2.2M price tag for which he purchased it back in November of 2007. As the home hasn’t depreciated, he might be hedging the bushes of a new, bigger estate – keep your eyes open, housewives!

According to the listing, the 3-bedroom, 3-bath, 2,000 sqft Mediterranean home for sale includes a gourmet chef’s kitchen, library, grand family room with stone fireplace, leaded glass windows, and exterior and interior stone work throughout. The masculine architecture gives the home character, and dark furnishings, custom cabinetry, hardwood floors and hand-hewn tiles give it a very rustic bachelor pad feel.

The private backyard area includes a stone hot tub with cascading waterfall looking down on a decorative koi pond. Exotic landscaping outlines the space and complements the stone pathways leading to a private guest house. The separate guest space comes equipped with a private entrance, individual parking, and personal yard.

U.K.’s Channel 5 to air ‘Dallas’

Dallas
Channel 5 has nabbed exclusive U.K. rights to the remake of “Dallas,” the Texan oil drama that had millions of Brits asking themselves “Who shot JR?”
The original version of “Dallas” was one of the BBC’s breakout hits of the Eighties.

Now Channel 5, buoyed by the success of “Big Brother,” hope the re-make can add to the broadcaster’s improved perf under Richard Desmond, the U.K. media tycoon who bought the station last summer.

The ten-part skein stars original cast members Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray, alongside Jesse Metcalfe and Brenda Strong, from “Desperate Housewives,” and Josh Henderson, featured in teen sudser “90210.”

The producers of the revived “Dallas,” which will air on TNT in the U.S., said the idea is “not a remake as much as a continuation,” which “takes the next generation of Ewings and continues the battle.”

Channel 5, whose most popular import is the “CSI” franchise, acquired the show from Warner Bros International.

It is expected to air in Blighty late next year, following the U.S. bow next summer.

Jeff Ford, Channel 5’s director of programs, said: “We are thrilled to be bringing the new look ‘Dallas’ to Channel 5.

“With its alluring mix of wealth, seduction, scandal and intrigue, there is something for everyone on the Southfork Ranch, and it’s a hugely exciting addition to our 2012 schedule.”

Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, prexy, Warner Bros. International Television, added: “The original version of ‘Dallas’ was iconic in the U.K., and had many millions of fans.

“We are sure that this new version of ‘Dallas’ will satisfy those who remember the original show and attract a whole generation of new viewers.”
